Remember...
Re-live the moment in history that thrust America into World War II. Your day begins when you meet our friendly representative at Kahului Airport, where you will be given the boarding passes for an Aloha Airlines flight to the island of Oahu. Aloha Airlines operates a fleet of Boeing 737 jet aircraft that each seat approximately 124 passengers.
When you arrive at the Arizona Memorial Visitors Center, you will be given tickets for the Arizona Memorial program that includes a film with footage of the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack and a ride on a US Navy launch across Pearl Harbor to board the Arizona Memorial.
©2007 Gray Line HawaiiDepart from Pearl Harbor for a drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl and downtown Honolulu and view Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on American soil. See beautiful and historic attractions of downtown Honolulu including Kawaiahao Church, the State Library and Archives, the famous statue of King Kamehameha, Honolulu Hale (also known as City Hall), and the Mission Houses Museum.
At the world famous Waikiki resort, dine at Duke's, a well-known oceanside restaurant and have time for a short stroll along the beach. Lunch is on your own.
On the way back, we stop at the Nuuanu Pali Lookout, to see the unbelievable panorama of the Koolau Mountain range and Windward Oahu. Back at Pearl Harbor, you will board the USS Missouri for a narrated and guided tour of the last battleship built by the US Navy that served from World War II through Desert Storm. Look for the plaque on the wooden deck marking the spot where the armistice ending WWII was signed.
Then, it's time to fly back from Oahu to Kahului, wrapping up a day steeped in history and breathtaking scenery.
